I’ve been involved in the online space for the past 8 years. I completed my undergraduate degree in the Interactive Media stream in the programme for Film and Media Production at UCT in 2005, where we explored and practiced Image Editing, Web Design, Flash animation, 3D Modelling, Film Production, Editing and interaction design for games.
I completed my postgrad in Enterprise Management in 2006, a practical and pragmatic course on the fundamentals of business management. Our team developed, designed, built, marketed and sold Magnetic Key Racks and managed to make a hefty profit from our endeavors.
In 2007 I co-founded MyVideo, which I continue to manage and develop today. I previously held positions at SAcamera, an online photographic store, and MEDIAS, a video technology and entertainment company, where I held the position of Chief Operating Officer. MEDIAS continues to operate the infinit.mobi platform I helped to develop as well as other video technology services. Parting ways with a startup and my work colleagues was a difficult decision but one that I feel is best given my goals and aspirations for the future.
When I’m not managing various freelance and start-up projects, I’m enjoying the beautiful city of Cape Town and its surrounding areas. I enjoy traveling, particularly in a LandRover and preferably across the African continent. I’ve played drums in Mozambique and Bao on the shores of Lake Malawi. I’ve witnessed the magic of Mana Pools and spent a weekend on a Tea Farm in Zimbabwe. I’ve White Water Rafted the Zambezi and bargained for goods in Zambia. I plan to do it all again.
I play all sorts of sports when I get the chance and have most recently become obsessed with learning the blues on an acoustic guitar.
I like coffee.
